Defunct U.S. satellites in low Earth orbit might want to come down in 5 years, if a proposed new regulation is authorised.

Concentrating on satellite tv for pc operators, the Federal Communication Fee (FCC) has a draft order (opens in new tab) printed Thursday (Sept. 8) requesting the machines be deorbited in half a decade, as soon as these missions have completed.
