Needless to say, Tracee Ellis Ross‘s gorgeous head of curls is far from newly minted, but the actor has just opted for a change in style, particularly in the length department. Along with her trademark of a smile and killer personality, she defines her new look with the name she now proudly goes by. And that is, Tracee Ellis “Curly Bob” Ross. 

On September 10, the Pattern Beauty founder stunned the ‘Gram by debuting a new cut but still keeping things consistent with her slightly curled fringe. She captioned the carousel of photos with just the remark needed, “Just call me Curly Bob.” From the hands of hairstylist Marcia Hamilton, Ross’s kinky-curly mane is now shaped into the ultimate curly bob haircut. 

Her curls fell above just shoulder length and with layers that filled out the top and outer sections of her hair. My favorite detail? The perfect, singular curl peeking out from the outer layers on her left side. 

To soft-launch her newly cut mane, she wore a vibrant red lip. Makeup artist Molly Greenwald also brushed her upper lids in warm, orange eye shadows. With just the right amount of direct sunlight, Ross’s skin glistened just as her new hair did.
