Timothée Chalamet has many a winsome feature, from his shapely jawline to his sleepy eyes. But perhaps his most enviable aspect is that fabulous curly hair. Almost always worn long enough to show off a ringlet or two, the actor’s hair is frequently the high point of his red-carpet looks — and that statement has never been quite as literally true as it was at the world premiere of Wonka.

The star of the highly anticipated prequel walked the red carpet in London on Tuesday, November 28, wearing a mauve velvet Tom Ford suit, his Cartier necklace serving as a collar in the absence of a shirt. His ensemble was perfectly complemented by the whimsical ornaments on the Christmas trees he posed in front of.

But despite the ‘fit being one of his most instantly memorable, Chalamet’s hair stole the show. It was as if his usual curls had been inflated to new heights — and widths, for that matter. Although a healthy dollop of curl dangles near his left eye, we can’t even say his hair is side-parted because there’s just so much hair filling every available space above his scalp. We’ve truly never seen such volume on the actor.
