Reuters has hired Anna Tong as a tech correspondent to cover the metaverse.

She previously was data editor for the San Francisco Standard.

Tong also worked as vice president of product management at PolySign, and she managed the product and customer support teams at HomeLight. She was also a product manager for Ripple.

Tong holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
