NY Times Union staffers mull strike by year’s end

New York Times journalists may schedule a walkout if their long-delayed contract is not signed by the end of the year. The move comes after months of stalled negotiations with employees not having a pay rise since March 2020.

The Times has offered a 2.7 percent per year average raise, whereas the NewsGuild demands a 6 percent raise over the span of the contract.
