Connell McShane, a journalist at Fox Business Network, has left after 16 years. His tweet reads:
“After nearly 16 years, I’ve decided to leave Fox Business Network. I’ve been planning for some time to move on when my contract expires, and now that it has, I’m really excited to take on a new challenge.
“Well, I started off years ago in sports broadcasting, and it’s something I’m still passionate about, so now seems like a good time to get back to it. Stay tuned.”
McShane graduated from Fordham University. While studying there, he worked as a sports broadcaster at the university-owned radio station WFUV FM 90.7. Later, he interned at the Yankees Radio Network.
He has also worked at Bloomberg Television as an anchor and reporter with “Evening Edition,” “On the Markets” and “Marketweek.” He also reported live from the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. He also worked at Bloomberg Radio where he co-anchored “The First Word.”
He also reported on top business, economic and political news, including conducting interviews with political figures such as Sen. Hillary Clinton.
He joined Fox Business in 2007 as a business reporter. He co-anchored the network’s early morning program and also co-hosted the program “Markets Now.”
