Even Taylor Swift’s magical hair isn’t immune to the curl power of Tennessee humidity.
Swift stopped by her semi-hometown of Nashville, Tennessee for several shows on her Eras tour and her natural curls were thrilled and tantalized by the warmth and humidity of the southern state. Inclement weather on one night of her three-night stop only added to the curl power; the May 7 show was delayed a few hours due to rain, but Swift eventually took the stage and let her dark blonde curls do their thing, working in tandem with the moisture in the air. Ever the consummate performer, Swift didn’t let a few sprinkles rain on her parade — she simply pivoted and embraced the wet look. There was frizz. The bangs were curling. It was glorious.
While Swift typically wears her hair blown out straight or styled in loose waves, it’s befitting of the Eras tour that she’s embracing her curls; after all, she rocked a full head of ringlets in the early days of her career. She even revisited the spiral curls on the album cover for the forthcoming Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with a softer, more modern take on her late 2000s-era curls.
