Amir Bibawy has been promoted to managing editor for  “Marketplace.”

He previously has been New York bureau chief and senior editor at the radio show since November 2018.

Bibawy previously worked at the Associated Press as a news producer and as editor of the breaking news desk. He was also a contributor to Que Pasa.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from American University in Cargo and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
