Happy October, Aquarius. Astrologers call Aquarius “the alien of the zodiac” because of your tendency to think outside the box and dress out of this world. So, get excited because October not only means Halloween, but three planets end their retrograde this month. Another one may start at the end of the month, just when everyone is ready to play dress-up, but let’s get to the good news first. During September, Mercury went retrograde, and the communication and technological frustrations encouraged you to take a screen break or spend less time on social media. Try to continue a healthy relationship with your phone when Mercury retrograde ends on Sunday, October 2. You can take all the selfies you want to show off your Halloween makeup, but avoid stalking exes or enemies, as it will only lead to stress. 

The second planet to go direct this month is Pluto, the ruler of the underworld and death and rebirth. The transformative planet began its retrograde in April, and over the past few months, your assignment from the stars was to reevaluate your relationship with money. I probably don’t have to tell you that the entire country is experiencing tough financial times, so when Pluto goes direct on Saturday, October 8, remember that your income does not equal your worth. You spent Pluto retrograde observing and perhaps even making a budget or working with a financial adviser. Keep up healthy spending habits, but your main assignment now that Pluto is direct is to remember that if you’re struggling, you’re not alone and are extremely awesome no matter how much money is in your bank account. This can be hard work, so surround yourself with your supportive community, friends, or family who love you for richer or poorer. And, if you are lucky enough to be making bank right now, try not to rub it in anyone’s face. 

The next day, Sunday, October 9, brings a bold full moon in Aries. Sometimes full moons can be stressful, but this lunation could offer closure, Aquarius. It lights up your 3rd House of Communication, and you can expect to fix any fights or miscommunications that went down during Mercury retrograde around this time. Remember, full moons complete a cycle, so they can be an ideal time for tying up loose ends.
