Well y’all, I am a proud plant parent and I have 9 new babies! I first received my sample Click and Grow Smart Garden for review purposes back in February of 2022. A year and a half later I am still loving that I get to grow my own food, herbs, and flowers. It is a fairly small unit measuring in at 2 feet long, 1 foot, four inches high, and 7 inches deep. It does not take up too much space and looks great as a way to bring some natural greenery to any space. You don’t have to keep any indoor gardening supplies on hand. It comes with everything it needs. You just insert the pods (soil discs with seeds), fill the water reservoir, and plug it in. That is it! They even include reusable plant markers so you can label your own seeds.
Easy Assembly
The only assembly is to slide the two arms onto the base and then slide the light bar onto the arms. After that, you just place your plant pod into the plant cup and add a humidity dome while they germinate. Then add water and plug in it.
Self-Watering Gardening Kit
This gardening kit is self-watering. You just fill up the tray initially until the water level indicator is at the top. Then you don’t have to refill it until it reaches the bottom (about once a month). Meanwhile, each plant is receiving the perfect amount of water continuously due to the wicks into the plant cups. The wicks are like plastic straws from the bottom of the plastic plant cups down into the water. They come already assembled.

How long does it take for the pods to sprout? By two weeks, all of my seeds were up. Lettuce came first, then the tomatoes, then the basil. See my photo on instagram below.

These accessories are totally optional but it is intended for true fans like myself. I have grown countless crops with my biodegradable grow anything pods and the wicks are beginning to show some wear and tear so these fresh wicks are just perfect. How long do click and grow plants last?
Well, that depends on the plants you choose to grow. The pods themselves all last for about a year when they are unused. Once you pop them in your Click & Grown Smart Garden they all germinate and grow at different rates. For example out lettuce plants lasted about 7 weeks before we had eaten all the leaves and were ready to replant. Basil lasted for about 9 weeks before we had eaten it all and were ready to replant. However, there are others like the thyme that lasts for months and months and months. On average most plants last about 3 months with some lasting much shorter and some much longer.
