Faiza Saqib has joined The Independent as a news feature writer. Recently, she was a reporter at Sky News.

Previously, Saqib worked at The Independent from April 2021 to November 2022, holding the posts of junior audience editor and assistant audience editor. She also contributed to Middle East Monitor, the student affinity network UNiDAYS and Guardian News and Media.

Saqib graduated from the University of Roehampton in London.
