Psalms of Praise And Thanksgiving

A short psalm can have great power. Even in hard times, finding thankfulness in your heart helps to bring peace and hope. The power of thanksgiving is clear.

Some vow to create a daily gratitude practice but abandon it quickly when life gets in the way. Others have never taken time to express their thankfulness on a regular basis. And still others have been able to maintain a regular practice of gratitude and can tell you that it’s been very beneficial. The more you choose to be purposefully thankful for what you have, the easier it gets, and the more you notice what you have to be thankful for.

I hope these Psalms of Praise And Thanksgiving remind you not only to praise and give thanks to our heavenly father, but also to those in your life. Giving praise and showing gratitude through such thanksgiving is one way that we love others and remind them (and ourselves) how important they are to us. In Matthew (22:37-39) we are reminded to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. We are also reminded to love thy neighbor. To love without thanksgiving is an empty way to love. I hope these Psalms verses inspire you to love more actively and show your love through thanksgiving.

Conclusion

Expressing thanksgiving is not only the right thing to do, it also has its own rewards. I love a win-win. As Harvard Health says, “Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.” So go forth in the name of our lord Jesus Christ and spread thanksgiving and positivity in the world!
