Jennifer Lopez is feeling the siren call of the ’90s with her latest glam moment. The superstar and her go-to stylist, Chris Appleton, just whipped up a super throwback updo that’s giving us 1998 red carpet and prom vibes.

Appleton posted a video of the twisted, knotted updo to his Instagram, calling the look “’90s glam.” In the quick vid, set to Fergie’s “Glamorous,” natch, we see Lopez in a chic white suit with her hair pulled tightly back and slicked down with her lengths twisted and wrapped into knots. A few pieces were left out for a messy, undone style that managed to be both ’90s-inspired and totally modern. The caramel-blonde tips of her color gave it an extra pop. 

It looks like something you’d see in the pages of YM magazine back in the day, but looks just as current and stylish on Lopez, especially given the current ’90s and Y2K trend resurgence. All you need is a hot pink prom dress from Jessica McClintock, some body glitter, and a set of French tips to really give late-’90s glam.
