Buffalo Business First has appointed Hassan Green as a projects editor and Jacob Tierney as a reporter.

Green will compile the popular lists that appear weekly online and, in the paper, and make up the annual 300-page Book of Lists. He will also work on special publications and projects. An excerpt from the announcement reads:

He worked as document controller for Linde Inc. in Tonawanda for six years and recently worked as a freelance sports and pop culture writer for various online publications.”

Tierney will cover banking and finance, the business of sports, public money and energy. Previously, Tierney reported for the Greensburg Tribune-Review and the Watertown Daily Times in Canton, New York. He served as executive editor of the Buffalo State Record.

Tierney has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
