Latest Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series update

September 15, 2022: Samsung is now pushing out a second software update to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. At this time, only the Verizon cellular models of the smartwatches are getting the update.

The new software is available with firmware version R905USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5, 40mm), R915USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5, 44mm), and R925USQU1AVH6 (Watch 5 Pro). The Bluetooth models received this update last week.

Verizon says the current update provides performance improvements on the watches. There’s no detailed changelog available just yet.

To check for a Galaxy Watch 4 update on your device, head to Settings > Software update on your watch. Or, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone and head to Watch settings > Watch software update.

• August 26, 2022: The first update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro landed right near its launch. It was a day one patch weighing just 100MB. It brought stability and reliability improvements to the two smartwatches.
