Departing Milwaukee Business Journal editor Mark Kass thanked his colleagues and the business community in his farewell column.
Kass writes, “We may have evolved over the years sending you news in many different ways, whether through our traditional newspaper, our active website, social media or at one of our many important events, but our readers’ support has only grown.
“In fact, the number of readers both in print and online has continuously grown in recent years at the same time other traditional media has been losing subscribers in droves.
“Thank you to our community and business leaders, who have supported our publication through working with us on stories, giving us exclusives, attending our events and always speaking about the importance of the newspaper to the success of southeastern Wisconsin’s business community. We could not have achieved the success we have seen over the past 20 years without you.
“Thank you for taking my calls, agreeing to be part of a panel or responding to one of my many emails asking for input on a major community issue. Thank you for answering my questions when I moderated a Q&A, even though some of you made me ask the question several times to get the answer I was looking for.
“And thank you to the reporters and editors that I have had the fortune to lead in my time as editor.”
